I searched the forum before asking. But did not find an answer. How does Mint deal with Bots, Spiders, Crawlers hitting my site? Are these included in the stats? Do you remove them from the stats? Is there a filter list? Please explain.

Mint ignores bots, spiders and crawlers, or rather bots, spiders and crawlers tend not to be JavaScript compatable and so they’re never seen by Mint.
If you search the forums, you’ll find a relatively recent thread (from the last week or so) about a currently-in-development Pepper for Mint that should allow you to track the major searchbots: Google, Yahoo, etc.
Hope this helps.

Mint records hits by using javascript, so it won’t count bots or anything or anyone that doesn’t have javascript. The downside to this (which is relatively minor) is that hits from people with javascript disabled in their browser won’t be recorded.
The pepper mentioned is called the ‘Crawlers Pepper’ by mlslatest mlslatest.com/pepper
It works by including some php on every page you want to track which ‘manually’ opens up mint and records a hit, thereby avoiding the need for the user-agent to have javascript.
