Watch all hits for /directory/*?

I’m running 5 blogs in subdirectories. Currently I’m watching the mainpage of each blog, but I’cant watch every page / post and count the hits to sum them up.

So my question is: is it possible to add a whole subdirectory and count all the hits there?

Like /sub1/* /sub2/* …

Yeah, I really need to know how to do this as well…it would seem like we could add a script into our .htaccess and it should be able to track our whole domain, or directory. Is this possible?

If you go to your preferences and look at installation there are instructions on how to use auto_prepend.

From the FAQ

There is an advanced technique for more savvy users running PHP as an Apache module. It uses .htaccess and auto_prepend_file to automatically include a PHP file that attaches the JavaScript for you.

No, sorry - that’s no what I’ve asked for.

I have already included Mint to every header (using wordpress). But I cant’t keep track on the total visits per blog.

Example:

  • one hit on /sub1/
  • one hit on /sub1/2007/02/01/sample-post/
  • one hit on /sub1/about/

and I’d like to have the option to watch /sub1/* so I’d get 3 hits out of the example above.

Maybe there could be an option “Watch all hits for that (virtual) sub-dir”?

No, this is not possible and not planned (although someone else could develop a Pepper to do this).
