Geomint without Google Map?

Hi everyone,

I just startet using mint, already very much loving it.

One of the reasons for me to use it, is not to give google any data of my site’s users. I still like the option to know where our users are from (not only from which country, but what towns).

I was wondering whether you know any way to use Geomint without Google Map, or to simply disable the Google Map from it? Since Google Map also requires the mint-directory to be public, that might be interesting to others too?

Or maybe a way to use the Locations pepper to also retrieve information about the towns. Is that something anyone is interested in?

Thanks a lot.

Till (the Locations Pepper Developer) has created a Locations + Pepper that displays this exact information.

You will need to contact Till to find out how development is going with L+.

GeoMint has been giving me problems for awhile now. The Google Maps API has been updated many times since the last upgrade — which is probably the issue, though I haven’t look at it.

Also, since the last two upgrades for Mint, GeoMint has produced a Javascript error — omitting a ); during render.

The map’s controls may disappear when another javascript event is pressed, such as a button or tab. This has been an issue for some time.
