Share Nametags for two Mint-Installations / Domains?

Hi!

I’ve just purchased a second license and I wonder if it is possible to share the Nametags (or Crushes) for the two domains?

I know that it is only possible to read a cookie from the domain which set ist, but maybe it is possible to set the cookie for two domains at once?

Background:

domain1.com contains the forum where the users log in. domain2.com contains the blog where most of the users don’t log in.

I’d like to be able to track the users over both domains…

If nametags (or crushes) is just looking for a cookie and doesn’t check the domain then yeah that should work.

My advice. try it. and then tell us if it worked or not.

I don’t think that’s going to be possible. One domain cannot set a cookie for another domain.

Shaun is right, I’ve tried a few things and you can’t set the cookie for two domains at once or read a cookie which was set by a different domain (that makes perfect sense because of security).

I was given the advice to set the second cookie through a pop-up when logging in to the forum, but I can’t figure out how to get the username into the pop-up to set the cookie for domain2.com…
