I would like to follow my Expression Engine users through my site by username or display name, not IP. Is this possible? I see Custom Cookies but EE uses a hash in its login cookies that will make no sense to me. Any ideas? Thanks

I downloaded the nametag extension http://simon.job.id.au/articles/498/mint-cookie-tag and now everything works. I would like to see my users names but if they have not logged in, I would like to see their IP address. My settings are on Names/IP address. With this setting, I don’t see my users names. For some reason I have to be on Names only to see their username. Any ideas? Thanks
I have exactly the same problem, are there any solutions? (seeing usernames only when crush is set to Name)
This isn’t really a problem. If the visitor isn’t logged in (and therefore doesn’t have a username cookie set) their IP address is displayed instead of their name. If you aren’t seeing usernames it’s because the majority of your visitors aren’t logged in. There’s nothing you or the Pepper can do about that.
