Mint 2.02 Problems:

After I upgraded from mint 2.0 when I go to preferences I only see the pane order and nothing else.

To upgrade I overwrote the mint directory and added the database info back in to the config file.

Did you copy over the Peppers you had installed? Have you cleared your cache?

It’s too late now, but you should have read the directions for upgrading. Shaun has a much safer method for upgrading described in the readme.

The peppers are still in the pepper folder. I am not sure what went wrong but I hope I don’t have to start from scratch. I have months of data that are very important.

I fixed it. It was permissions issues.

On what file? Did it happen to be Trends/Blog Comments?

I have the same problem, on which files did you fix permissions?

Same problem here… check that all your pepper files are readable and executable by your webserver user. (I just did a chmod -R o+rx . in the mint directory)

THEN, move your pepper/shauninman-old directory away from the pepper directory… this brings back the Pepper pane in preferences. (I moved it to /tmp instead of deleting it)

As per instructions:

Be sure to delete the /shauninman-old/ directory or your Pepper Preferences
will break.

Hope that helps,

Rob

I deleted the Pepper-old and App-old directory. Adjusted permission of the peppers, cleared cache from my browser. And I still get a messed up Preference page.

If you have any duplicate Pepper in the /pepper/ directory (be sure to check the individual Pepper developer directories) the Preferences will appear broken after the Pane Order preference.

That was the problem, there was a duplicate pepper marked old which I didn’t remove. Thanks!

Thanks Shaun, your support is great. This also helped me.
