Double web searches listed

I am having an issue where just about every search term displayed in the Searches pane is listed twice. I don’t have any image searches, so I am not sure if that would act the same way, but the web searches are doing it. This has been pretty consistent since I installed Mint (end of Jan.). Has anyone else had this issue? I tried searching for a solution, but could not find anyone else with this issue. If you need more information I would be more than happy to provide it.

We’ve got the same issue. I wonder what could be causing this? dreampowercostumes.com/mint

No idea why this is happening. It is good to know that at least I am not alone with this issue. It didn’t seem like such a big deal at first because the only thing it was hurting is that I couldn’t see as much of what was being Googled, but now that I have installed the Trends pepper, I realize that both listings are being counted in the Trends as well, so I will get a general idea of my trends, but it is not accurate.

designoahu, the Mint JavaScript include appears twice on each page of your site.

colinder, hobbsy, are the duplicate searches Image searches by any chance?

i’m having the same issue, except on linotypesetting.com i’m getting triples, not simply doubles as I am on interrobang. they are image searches and text searches.

Is this happening consistently? Could it be someone using their browser history to go back and forth between your page and the search results? What are some search terms that will result in links to your sites?

i had thought that might be the case and it appears that people do do that:

13 minutes ago and 14 minutes ago someone searched: “letterpress somerville ma” which appears 4 times, twice for 13 minutes ago and twice 14 minutes ago.

35 and 32 minutes ago someone searched “letterpress birth announcements” so at both those times I have 2 records each.

these doubled records also appear in my Referrers’ pane twice each, however, the puzzle is, a number of records are singles. e.g., someone hit me from the forum here and it only appears once. Someone also did a google image search for “platen press” and that only logged one record.

several other instances are single records. god I hate inconsistent troubles.

by the way. i just want to say that i friggin love what you’ve built with Mint. I had Yahoo’s “web site garage” stats years ago and thought the plain text emails I got were pretty nifty…

since traffic to linotypesetting.com is far lighter, 13 hours ago I had 1 unique hit logged in my Visits pane, that then ran through 7 pages.

the 1 hit 13 hours ago came from a Yahoo group I’m a member of, so no Search pane record, BUT 3 referrer records.

curiouser and curiouser.

Dear Shaun, I am having this trouble also. It is not happening on all the entries in the searches pane but a majority. The entries are usually not image searches. I am using the javascript method and I am sure there is only one entry in my code (right before the ending head tag). I am using a .htaccess redirect, not javascript. I have already updated to 2.15. The duplicate times are usually one to 3 minutes apart.

Do this many people really move back and forth from the search results to my page several times?

Thanks so much for such a great app.
