pepper incompatibilities

i’m having some problems with installed peppers not displaying. at first, it was window width/real estate pepper problems. i didn’t know to uninstall the window width pepper first so real estate wasn’t displaying. then i uninstalled them both, reinstalled real estate THEN window width and real estate was showing up but no window width. do these two not work together?

also, i installed bird feeder and it was displaying and working for a while but when i was trying to fix this real estate/window width problem, the seeds panel disappeared though it is clearly installed.

perhaps one of the other peppers that i am using is causing incompatibilities as well. i’ve uploaded a screenshot of what i have installed and what is displaying. any thoughts? gleek.net/img/blog/mint1.jpg

p.s. also, the secret crush panel is not showing up either. hhmmmmm..

Have you logged out and back in again since installing? Also could be a browser cache issue? Or, there may be a few bugs to work out of the new version. I’m sure Shaun will give the official word.

just logged out and logged back in to make sure. still the same. i have also emptied the cache and restarted the browser (firefox) just to be sure.

I am also having problems with Bird Feeder and Secret Crush. My seeds panel displays but not the feeds, and the crushes not at all. When I reinstall, they work, but then fail to display again after awhile. I really don’t want to have to reinstall and loose my accumulated data several times a day.

mine didn’t come back after uninstalling and reinstalling. i just posted to another thread in this forum “panels not showing up” as well about this. i have a feeling that some peppers are stepping on each other’s toes.

Guys add &errors to the end of your Preference url and hit enter, report back with any errors you see.

ok, looks like my trends pepper may be causing some problems.. let me know if you think that i should uninstall it.

it looks like this page_grouping variable is a preferences variable. did this variable get nixed somehow in the mint 2 upgrade? hhmmm.

Nope, that wouldn’t be causing the problem. I don’t think a notice would be the cause of this. That sounds like a Pepper-specific variable, not part of the MInt 1 or 2 Pepper API.

The DLoads Pepper is outputting some whitespace before Mint can set its cookies though. That’s going to cause other problems. You should open up the class.php file in the dloads directory and remove the last ?> you see.

ok, i deleted the last ?> i saw from the class.php file in the dloads directory. there was no change to the system.

i then tried uninstalling secret crush (the only panel not showing now) and reinstalling it. the crushes panel has reappeared but the feeds panel is now gone.

i should have been a magician!

After reinstalling the troubled peppers (again), they are currently working, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Here are my errors.

Yeah, definitely not working again. Fresh View disappeared and after I reinstalled it, the Seeds pane was gone.
