MintPopularPostsWP is a WordPress plugin providing simple access to a
- favourites list based on Mint statistics
- the Mint Watchlist (including hits and referrer counts)
in order to display those lists as part of your WordPress theme.
The plugin uses the internal caching mechanism of WordPress if enabled.
An options panel integrated into the WordPress Admin GUI is provided for configuration.
A Mint installation residing in another database than WordPress itself is supported.
This plugin is based on ideas and code published by: Philip Lindsay, Cody Williams and Yaakov Ellis.
Release NotesLatest version
- Version 1.1
MintPopularPostsWP now finally comes with most stable support for external Mint databases. Version 1.1.0 also adds widget support for the Mint Watchlist, the Mint Popular Posts list and the Mint Statistics.
This way users of WordPress 2.3 and higher can easily integrate those lists and views by drag and drop into their widgetable sidebar.
- Version 1.02
The new function mpp_mint_stats() now displays a table containing the visits/visitors info (total and today) as collected by Mint.
- Version 1.01
Method mpp_popular_posts parameter $prev_days did not have an effect. This has been fixed.
- Version 1.0
The Mint Watchlist did show hits from external referrers only. This differs from the behaviour of the Default Pepper in Mint and has been changed. The Watchlist is now reporting exactly the same figures as the Default Pepper in Mint.
I have added a dynamic sample output of both methods to the options panel. This way you can immediately validate your settings and see the result without first integrating it into your WordPress theme.
- Version 0.99
0.9.9 - Added support for external Mint DB and access to the Mint Watchlist (as in the Default Peppers Pane)
