GeoMint 0.5 for Mint 2

Okay, new zip is available at the address above.

The problem was that $string = “{$this->Mint->formatDateTimeRelative($row[‘dt_max’])}” works in PHP 5 but not in v4.

Works like a charm!

i still have no map on this latest version… in safari or firefox.

Geomint is working perfectly on my site, viewed with Safari. I ran into one small problem by not reading the readme file closely enough. While I made the clupprich folder, I neglected to make a geomint folder inside that.

Undoubtedly, future versions will have both folders already created for that true drag and drop experience.

Excellent work, Clupprich. Thanks for taking the time to build it.

danielphillip, you need to rename your ‘GeoMint’ folder to ‘geomint’.

I am very excited about this pepper, thanks clupprich.

I installed it and its loading and all that. But it doesnt seem to catch any of the ips, countries. Even the sql db is empty for the table.

What am I doing wrong?

Could you give me the url to your mint installation and set it to client mode/Allow anyone to view Mint?

You just seem to get visits from Snapbot and no real users (that’s why you have IPs from the same network in your views). So not much for GeoMint to display.

Have a look at the ‘Last Visitors’ pane in GeoMint. There you can see that most of your visitors (not all!) have an ip with a network address of 38.98.19/24 and they are, of course, all tracked down to some location in the US (Grass Valley, CA). You now got some hits from India and UK but most of your users are Snapbots (google for the IP).

Hmm…I don’t get a map…

The other tabs seem to be working fine, but there’s no map displayed. No errors or anything either.

The default “Width of the Google Map” set to 100% in the preferences is what does not work for me in either Safari and Firfox. If I change the width to be locked at, say, 350px, a full map shows up as expected, (just doesn’t fill the box). It took me awhile to realize this was the reason I wasn’t seeing the map.

Hmm…I just uninstalled and reinstalled and it’s now displaying the map. Weird.

Actually, it could have been the width and height settings - they didn’t default to anything when I upgraded.

I’m having the experience of GeoMint 0.52 not capturing any hits at all. The map displays; I just don’t have any data. My site doesn’t get a ton of traffic, but I know I’ve had around 40 or 50 visits since it was installed. Here are links to screenshots of my prefs and the GeoMint pane as of just a minute ago: http://newfangledtelegraph.com/images/geomint.png http://newfangledtelegraph.com/images/geomintpane.png

(BTW, I’ve tried set to both complete and incomplete data sets with no change in behavior.)

TIA for any help getting this working! -Andrew

You need to install the Secret Crush Pepper, Mint doesn’t record IPs anymore on its own.

Guess I missed that in my rush to get started. Thanks!

No, it was my fault, added it to the Readme.

Yep, I’ve got the same problem, with the version I downloaded from your site this afternoon. My white space doesn’t turn grey when moused over though… staying tuned, as instructed! :)

Hmm. GeoMint is being somewhat selective in the data it’s showing. On the Secret Crush pepper, I show seven visitors in the last 13 hours. The Last Visitors pane in GeoMint, however, only shows one of those visitors. When I look in the Country Data pane, it does shows countries for two of the omitted visiors (one in Spain, the other in the Netherlands). Finally, the map pane doens’t display locations for any of the seven visits.

Running Mint 2.0.2, Secret Crush 2.0.2 and GeoMint 0.52

Same problem here. Listed IP in Last Visitors, but no points on the map. I have Crushes installed as well.

owen-b, which problem are you talking about?

Do you all have the ‘incomplete datasets’ option enabled? Then this visitor will only be shown in the ‘Last Visitors’ pane because GeoMint couldn’t get any info about the coordinates of the visitor. And please, if you have problems with your install, post your url and set mint to client mode (you can even write me an email). Thanks.
