Did you know that you can upload your Pepper to the Peppermill? Login and use the Peppermill contribute form (I’ve taken the contribute form offline while I diagnose the problem).

Once your contribution is approved you’ll automatically receive the forum title of Pepper Developer. You’ll also be able to see how many times your contribution(s) have been downloaded in the Account Center.

And the Peppermill isn’t limited to just Pepper. If you have a script or plugin for another application (eg. Wordpress) that works with Mint you can upload those as well (using the “Other” Download Type).

I would upload my Pepper, but it exceeds the allowed file size of 1.0 MB.

I seem to be getting quite a few errors when submitting my pepper. It looks like it has to do with permissions uploaded the image and file.

I noticed the same thing tgumbel and have informed Shaun via email. Appears to be very busy at the moment, hopefully this isn’t too far down his list.

Alright, the Peppermill Contribute and new Manage Contributions pages should be working. I was just able to successfully release an update to Secret Crush. I’ll try to process your submissions ASAP once I push out Mint 1.3 and 2.01.

I tried to upload my peppers but I get the following errors:

* Zip File is not a valid file type.
* Zip File could not be saved.

The zip file is created in linux. Maybe that’s the problem? :P

What browser are you using uFx? I was able to download and then contribute your zip to my local install of the Peppermill. Perhaps the browser isn’t sending the correct MIME type for the file.

What does it say when you upload here?

I am having this same issue now. Did we ever figure out the reason being? I am going to try to upload to the secondary page.

OK Shaun. I have the same issue as uFx. When I tried to upload using the link you provided above it says file type “archive/zip” but when I upload through the Contribute page it says:

  • Zip File is not a valid file type.
  • Zip File could not be saved.

I have created the archive with PeaZip, WinZip, WinRAR, and XP Compression Utility all to no avail. I have a very nice new style to add and I can’t get it to you! Can I send it to you directly? or maybe we can work this issue out.

addt [] I have tried using FireFox, IE, and Opera to upload.

Give it another shot.

Done. Except Shaun. The title reads “CinnaMint v1.0 LT 1.0”. It should read “CinnaMint v1.0 LT” or “CinnaMint LT v1.0”

I wasn’t aware that I didn’t need to put the version number in the title as well. Thanks for the help!!!

Shaun.. hold off on that as I uploaded the wrong version without the Login Styles. Please disregard the first one I uploaded. I am uploading the correct version now and I will label as such. Thanks. Is there an email where I can contact you directly? If you can’t post here please email me.

I am having a problem trying to upload a style on the contribute page.

I tried to upload the style zip folder and screenshot about 4 days ago, and am not sure whether it went through properly, as on the form, the ‘Choose file’ button does not change and there is nothing to suggest that the file has actually been selected or uploaded.

As the contribute page says to allow 24-48 hours for approval, I was wondering if the files made it through?

For what it is worth, I am using firefox 3.0 and have tried with safari.

The upload went through fine. Your new style is essentially an uncredited palette swap of the Tufte style so I wanted to run it by the original style creator (who didn’t have a problem). That was Friday afternoon. It will be posted today.
