The last months I’ve tested my enhanced Locations Pepper and its working quit well. I’ve took 5 screenshots of it.
The database used costs 49 USD, if your interested in it - contact me by mail.

till,

how are you proposing the cost to be split among users?

are you suggesting that we all chip in to come up with the $49 USD cost to acquire the database? or are you selling us the Locations+ license per user for $49 each?

i may be interested in contributing to the fund if this is the case.

the website said it is $49 per year? does it mean we need to chip in this amount every year?

barkerja, you could grab my email address from my site.

JCFP, the pepper is currently freeware and it is just using their database.

ok, till,

how do you propse we chip in together to purchase the database? will you setup a paypal account so several users can donate to it. if there are many people willing to do this, each of us will only need to contribute a very tiny amount to make this work?

is this what you are proposing? if so, i think it is very doable.

very interesting… do we need to contribute yearly to keep up the database?

Do whatever you like. I’m just writing a Pepper that utilizes GeoBytes data.

Hi Till - It is not good form to use GPL’d code from http://weirdsilence.net/software/ip2c without crediting the author (which happens to be me). (I am talking about the locations pepper, not locations+)

It seems that your screenshots are missing from your site? Do you plan to put them back up?
