Birdfeeder question

Posted on Oct 11, '07 at 09:44 pm

I just read this thread: http://haveamint.com/forum/after_dinner … #post_5083

I simply want to be sure I’m understanding it and Birdfeeder… in the Overview pane, what exactly does the Past Week subscribers number reflect? Subscribers who have read the feed, new subscribers? Just want to get a complete understanding of BF - it’s great so far!

Bird Feeder counts unique subscribers to your feeds, not requests for the feed.

Subscribers are the number of unique useragent/IP address combos that request your feed, taking into consideration the subscriber counts provided in the user agent strings of the multi-user aggregators (eg. bloglines). Unless a subscriber count is provided and has changed repeat requests from a useragent/IP address combo are not counted towards that total.
